Janet Mentgen initiated an Animals Section to the Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation after the death her family’s pet.

Janet Mentgen supported the development the use of energy work in the animal kingdom. She encouraged Carol Komitor’s vision to create workshops to teach a unique perspective about healing with our animals. Working on the animals helps to facilitate the self-healing process.  Healing Touch for Animals shares the philosophy: helping to heal ourselves and others (whether it be a person or an animal) creating wholeness at a greater level, affecting the healing of our planet, thus making a difference in our world.

Carol’s first Healing Touch for Animals® workshop was held March 9, 1996 in Hunt, Texas. The students learned to apply healing techniques and principles to the resident horses, dogs, pot bellied pig and small burro.

The HTWF funds designated for healing projects for animals and their owners have grown to support animal related projects.

Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation funds from this category were used to support a driving team in the International Para-Equestrian Competition. The United States Driving for the Disabled, Inc holds the distinguished privilege of supporting a team to represent the United States of America in international competitions every two years. Carol Komitor served as “Groom” to the Team USA 2004 for the horses in competition and their drivers. The Woolverton Driving Team brought home a fifth place with the largest driving contingent ever: three team members, one individual driver, and one individual pair driver.
