History
Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1997 by Janet Mentgen, founder of the Healing Touch Program. Since January 2001, HTWF, Inc. has awarded more than $200,000 in grants to over 30 recipients worldwide.
Mission Statement
The purpose of HTWF, Inc. is to receive and distribute funds to assist, encourage and advance the philosophy, objectives and techniques of Healing Touch.
Areas of Interest
Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation, Inc. emphasizes on Healing Touch. The Foundation will focus on supporting the following:
- Research into the effects of Healing Touch
- Service and outreach programs which provide Healing Touch across the globe
General Application Information
- Proposals must be submitted by the following deadlines:
General Grants: March 31, May 31, August 31 and December 31
Janet Mentgen Fund: May 31 and December 31
Grants for Animals: March 31, May 31, August 31 and December 31
- Please do not send video or audio tapes. No binders or notebooks, please.
- The Foundation will acknowledge receipt of your proposal and will request additional information if necessary.
- Foundation provides notice within two weeks of final review of each Grant category. The review is completed within sixty days of the deadline date.
- Progress Reports are required on a quarterly basis.

Grant Proposal Guidelines
The following information must be included in grant proposals. No proposal will be reviewed until a complete packet has been received and arrives by the specific Grant deadline.
I. Proposal Summary
Please complete the Proposal Summary Form, being sure to address ALL questions. Please click on one of the links below for the form:
II. Support Information to be Enclosed
(Narrative should be of 2-5 double-spaced pages.)
A. Purpose of Grant
- Statement of needs/ problems to be addressed; description of target population and how they will benefit
- Mission Statement, if available
- Description of project goals and objectives and statement as to whether this is a new or ongoing request
- Plans to accomplish the goals and objectives (Research proposals must include descriptions of methodology and plans for data analysis.)
- Timetable for implementation
- List of names, qualifications (or resume), and job description of researchers or service providers in the project
- Other organizations, if any, participating in the project and their roles
- Long-term strategies for continued funding of this project at the end of the grant period
B. Evaluation
- Plans for evaluation, including how success will be defined and measured
- How evaluation results will be used and/or disseminated and, if appropriate, replicated
C. Finances
- A detailed budget (Be specific and justify each item or category.)
- Overhead items already available need not be itemized, but total overhead costs should be identified and included in the budget.
- Amounts requested of other foundations, corporations, and other funding sources to which this proposal has been submitted
D. Attachments
- A copy of current IRS determination letter indication 501(c) 3 tax-exempt status, if applicable
- 1-3 letters of support
- Supporting documentation of the organization’s program, if available.
